2025 Shaping Up to be Big Year for PW and USA Premier Baseball

“2024 was an amazing year for our group,” exclaimed Prospect Wire & USA Premier Baseball President Brian Werner. “We had a record setting spring, with over 200 teams. We had our best summer since 2018, with over 600 teams attending our events, and we finished it off with a record setting fall that saw us host 475 teams! That’s a lofty bar to live up to, but we are excited about what lies ahead in 2025.”

With an event schedule that has grown to over 40 events nationwide, Prospect Wire has become synonymous with quality baseball tournament experiences.

“We really try to push a positive, productive and worthwhile culture at our events,” stated DS Sports COO Justin Varitek. “We want teams to not only face good competition, but we want the families that are bringing those kids to enjoy their experience. From our gate staff to our scorekeepers to our scouts, when teams come through that gate, it’s our goal to ensure they enjoy their experience and want to return for more.”

With the acquisition of USA Premier Baseball in late 2023, Prospect Wire worked hard to change the culture and experience of those events as well, to match the levels teams came to expect at a Prospect Wire event.

“The colors might be different. The logo on the tournament might be different, but when you are at a USA Premier event, you will feel like you’re at a Prospect Wire tournament,” remarked Brian Werner. “We worked hard this past year to change the perception of those events. Gina & Si Petrow did an amazing job growing the Firecracker Classic into a west coast staple. Our goal is to bring even more exposure to the event through our networks and social media reach, as well as continue to draw teams from outside the area, to make it a national can’t miss event!”
