1. Glide into Fun! Grab Your Skates and Hit the Ice at Founders Ice Skating Rink

2. Eat, Drink, & Be Merry at Windy Hill Orchard
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 29th! Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery will be offering hayrides for the whole family, fire pits to stay warm, and yummy cider to sip on! Hayrides happen every hour, starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM, while the cider bar is open from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Be sure to stay into the evening when the fire pits.
3. Get a Head Start on Holiday Shopping

4. Get Festive at Carowinds Winterfest

Carowinds is transforming once again! Starting November 17th, you can step inside this rollercoaster theme park turned into a winter wonderland. Experience Winterfest with ice skating, 5 million shimmering lights, a 70-foot tree, and, new this year, a daily parade. Festive fun and hands-on holiday activities are located throughout the park, and sweet aromas from special holiday dishes and desserts fill the midways. Plus, up to 24 of your favorite rides will be open to complete your night of memory-making.
5. Complete the YoCo Brew Trail
Show the family all the new breweries that York County has to offer on the YoCo Brew Trail. Take a break from shopping and enjoy a food truck and drink at one of our 12 locations across York County. Just visit our office or any one of our breweries to pick up your passport today. Be sure to get a stamp when you purchase a beer. If you hit over 10 stops, visit the York County Visitor Center to pick up your custom “I drank my way through York County T-Shirt.”
6. Get Outside and Hike Kings Mountain
Ready to get outside but don’t need a grueling hike? Kings Mountain State & Kings Mountain National Military Park is the place for you. Enjoy a beautiful walk on a paved path through the last of the fall leaves. This path will take you up to a gorgeous monument that marks the Battle of Kings Mountain, which was a turning point in the American Revolution. If you want a more strenuous hike, head next door to Kings Mountain State Park.
7. Experience History at Historic Brattonsville
Brush up on your American Revolutionary history with this interactive living history farm. Historic Brattonsville knows how to make history fun. You’ll learn from interpreters what it was like on the Bratton family farm in the 1700s and 1800s. Treat the kids to some old-fashioned fun this holiday weekend.
8. Pick out the Perfect Tree at Penland Christmas Tree Farm
