Colorado Springs, Colo. (August 4, 2023)—Athlete applications for the 2023 WFDF World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC) tryouts are now available to U-20 players interested in representing the United States in international competition next summer.
The tournament is scheduled for July 20-27 in Birmingham, UK and features the world’s top ultimate players under the age of 20 in three gender divisions – open, mixed and women’s.
Players interested in trying out for Team USA should review the application procedures, timelines and eligibility criteria and complete the online application by September 1.
Following the application period, up to 200 players will be selected to attend one of two tryouts – east and west – in November.
A recommendation form is also available for anyone interested in recommending a player for consideration. Teammates, coaches, organizers and other members of the ultimate community are encouraged to reach out to USA Ultimate and suggest athletes who might be good candidates to receive a tryout. Recommendations are due September 6.
