All of us at Compete Sports Diversity are excited to announce that Yolanda Jenkins, SDL, will be joining the Compete Sports Diversity Council Executive Committee. This committee is appointed by Compete Sports Diversity, representing individuals from different community sports groups. This committee meets to discuss challenges community sports groups have and also discuss best practices and ways to market their events, consider and vet destinations to award their events to and create community and corporate partnerships, collaborate, and partner with professional sports groups, and learn how to promote their events to destinations that offer facilities and community support that celebrates and supports DEI. The executive committee helps drive our work toward our mission to “unite the world through sports.”
Yolanda Jenkins is a highly accomplished individual who has made significant contributions to the world of kickball and community development. As the co-founder and CEO of TNSTP Kickball, she has played a pivotal role in revolutionizing the sport and bringing it to new heights.
Under Yolanda’s leadership, TNSTP Kickball has experienced remarkable success, becoming one of the most renowned kickball organizations in the world. Yolanda’s vision and dedication have helped the organization grow exponentially, attracting thousands of participants and fans who share a passion for this exciting sport.
In addition to her role at TNSTP Kickball, Yolanda is also the founder and CEO of Women Major League Kickball, a pioneering initiative aimed at empowering women in sports. Through this platform, she has created opportunities for female athletes to showcase their talent, fostering gender equality and inclusivity in the world of kickball.
Yolanda’s achievements extend beyond the organizational realm. During her tenure as the Director of Morale, Welfare & Recreation for over 300,000 troops in southern Iraq, she dedicated more than 10 years of her life to providing a sense of joy and camaraderie to the soldiers. She worked tirelessly to organize tournaments and events, collaborating with the USO (United Service Organizations) to create memorable experiences for the troops stationed in Iraq.
Yolanda’s commitment to giving back to the community is commendable. She understands the importance of using her success and influence to make a positive impact on society. Through her involvement with the USO and her various initiatives in kickball, Yolanda has consistently demonstrated her passion for uplifting others and promoting a sense of unity.
