<p>The <a href="https://www.playeasy.com/destinations/8bd5ce20-6a05-42f7-818e-3cb4405d2b0a" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">RI Sports Commission</a> is excited to welcome over 130 teams to Providence and the Dunkin&#8217; Donuts Center, <a href="https://www.playeasy.com/facilities/89d772c4-e40e-489c-903f-3848b7ff6e18" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rhode Island Convention Center</a> this weekend for the 77th annual NACIVT! Check out this short documentary to learn more about the NACIVT and why Providence was selected as this year&#8217;s host city!</p>



<p>The history of Providence’s Chinese community will be celebrated at the <a href="https://www.playeasy.com/events/e716efbb-b986-4878-bc4b-86d6519b01af" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">77th North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament</a>, which is expected to bring 3,500 visitors from over a dozen North American cities and provinces to RI this weekend!</p>



<p>The Rhode Island Historical Society and Chinese Historical Society of New England (CHSNE) have partnered with tournament organizers to tell the story of Providence’s Chinatown and its impact on the history of 9-man volleyball.</p>



<p>Beyond Community Shared Value, the 3-day event is expected to utilize 1,350 room nights in area hotels and generate an estimated impact of $1.2M in direct spending.</p>
