Finding Fun for Adults in Flint and Genesee

There are many fun spots for friends to get together in Flint & Genesee. Whether you are looking for a night of bowling, karaoke, kart racing, or entertainment, there is always something to keep you busy.
Jack’s Place (JP’s) in Flushing is a great place to kick back for a night of bowling and dinner. Jack’s Place features a handful of bowling lanes, a full bar, and a restaurant where you and your friends can spend the whole evening.
Also in Flushing is Hardwired Arcade, where you can relive pinball and Pac-Man glory days. It features dozens of coin-operated video games and pinball machines. There is also a room where more modern games and systems await you to try to beat the high score.
If you crave live music, head to Flint’s The Machine Shop Concert Lounge, where you can hear local and national acts at reasonable prices. Whether you are interested in cover bands, local music, hard rock, or outlaw country, the Machine Shop is an excellent place to rock out.
If you feel the need for speed, then head to Extreme Indoor Kart Racing in Clio, where you can live your racing dreams on a smaller scale. Hit the racetrack and take one of their karts for an exciting race or two. When you need a break, you can head over to the arcade to try your hand there before strapping a helmet on again.
While Spymaker may be known for its escape rooms, it also offers Spymaker Axe Throwing, which offers enough excitement to get your blood pumping. Test your skills by throwing real axes at fixed targets. Afterward, you can play a game of Football Bowling. They even offer a full bar, pizza, breadsticks, and salads to keep you fueled for fun.
Warm up your voice and go to JW’s Music Factory in Flint, where you can hit their stage and belt out some of our favorite tunes. The main attraction here is their karaoke nights with a professional stage and sound setup to make you feel like a star. But there are other attractions as well. Come in for trivia, a DJ, one of their parties, or just for a drink and a bite to eat as you listen to great music.
Hit Rollhaven in Grand Blanc for some late-night skating with your friends and relive your youth as you shoot the duck and boogie on the rink. While teens and kids are welcome most of the time, the Rink hosts events geared exclusively to adult skaters to have a fun night out.
Game night comes alive at Fenton’s The Last Level, which offers video and board games for visitors to enjoy. Video games, many of which are set to be played for free, may be the main attraction, but there are several board games available for more cerebral entertainment. With food and drink options and a one-price entry fee, visiting here will surely make a great night.
And finally, if you want a low-key night with a burger, a brew, and maybe some pool or darts, Flint’s Timothy’s Pub is just the place for you. Though they are known for their burgers, they have a full menu of great food to offer. With comedy nights, music trivia nights, a pool table, and dart boards, you’ll have an evening you won’t forget.
