Outfront Swingers

OutFront Kalamazoo, a not-for-profit, charitable organization serving the LGBTQ+ and allied community in southwest Michigan, sponsors a softball team called the “OutFront Swingers.” The team, originally named the Metro Magic and sponsored by the Metro night club, has been around since 2010. Following the club’s closure and the rebranding of the Kalamazoo Gay Lesbian Resource Center to OutFront Kalamazoo, the team adopted the new name “OutFront Swingers.” Additionally, two community members manage and organize the team, most of whom are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. TracyHall, the director of OutFront Kalamazoo commented, “We typically get a good number of community folks come watch us play, which is really cool. We don’t win much, but we love it”. The team plays Tuesday nights. Click here to the OutFront website. If you want to join the team, contact anyone on the OutFront board of directors to get more information.
