Liberty National ACE Grant applications for 2025 are now open!

By Hayden Hanslik

Applications to be a recipient of the Liberty National ACE Grant in 2025 are officially open! An integral part of the American Junior Golf Association Foundation, the mission of the Liberty National ACE Grant is to provide financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf. Since 2003, $7.7 million has been reimbursed to families, resulting in over 10,000 playing opportunities and over $15 million in college golf scholarships. The grant covers a range of expenses, including membership fees, travel, and housing, ensuring that junior golfers have the financial support to pursue the sport at the highest level.

How it works

The Liberty National ACE Grant ensures that junior golfers from all backgrounds have the opportunity to compete. To assist families in estimating eligibility, we offer a user-friendly Liberty National ACE Grant calculator.

Once approved, families can receive reimbursements for AJGA membership, tournament and qualifier fees, as well as expenses related to travel and equipment. The program also covers costs associated with USGA junior events, PGA junior sectionals and state championship fees.

Program participants and stories

Junior golfers in the Liberty National ACE Grant program represent a diverse range of backgrounds and stages in their AJGA journey. Among its notable alumni, Maxwell Moldovan and Rose Zhang stand out as the first grant recipients to earn the prestigious Rolex Junior Player of the Year award.

The program thrives thanks to the generous support of PGA and LPGA Tour professionals and dedicated donors who are passionate about promoting equity in golf. In 2020, PGA TOUR player Harold Varner III began funding the program, reflecting on how such assistance would have been invaluable during his own junior golf years.

Hayden Price, a 2024 Liberty National ACE Grant recipient, credits the program with enabling her continued participation in AJGA tournaments. She shares that the support has provided critical exposure and experience, helping her prepare for a future where she aspires to compete at the collegiate level.Play
