The American Jump Rope national championship in 2024 will head to Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman, Utah, from June 25-29, 2024.
Hosted by the American Jump Rope Federation, the event will be jump rope’s first national tournament in Utah. Many of the athletes that will attempt to qualify for the event were part of the U.S. team that competed in the World Championship in July that was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
“We are tremendously excited for the opportunity to host the 2024 American Jump Rope Championships in Salt Lake,” said Clay Partain, executive director of Sports Salt Lake. “This event has been on our radar for quite some time and we are excited to showcase our Olympic city to these world-class athletes.”
The event is estimated to have more than $1.2 million in visitor spending with an expected 1,900 attendees. Competitive jump rope is a growing sport with two primary disciplines, single rope and double dutch. Within each discipline are a variety of events that test athletes’ agility, creativity and teamwork.
“RSL is happy to welcome the 2024 American Jump Rope Championships to Zions Bank Training Facility,” said Mitch Perkins, senior director of events for Real Salt Lake. “Our facility is built on bringing premier athletes and events to the training grounds and adding this event to the calendar is something we are excited for. We feel this is going to be one of the best new additions to the 2024 calendar.”
