Prospect Wire Ready to Invade SoCal Again in 2025

In 2016, Prospect Wire began running events in Southern California. What started as 1 spring event, quickly grew to 3 with the birth of the LA and San Diego Invitationals during the summer months. With the acquisition of USA Premier Baseball, Prospect Wire now has multiple spring events, multiple summer tournaments and a couple fall events to round out their calendar.

“We have been very fortunate to have success in California, which is not an easy state to break into,” remarked Prospect Wire President Brian Werner. “There are not really any complexes (beyond Great Park) in California for full size fields, so the challenge of securing 8-12-15 facilities is a large undertaking in itself. Many times it’s part of what discourages groups from running larger events in the state.”

In 2024, Prospect Wire took over operations for all USA Premier tournaments. With a strong effort to change the culture and branding of those events, the USA Premier events will have a newer look and feel in 2025.

“We want to make sure teams that are used to coming to Prospect Wire events and are used to that experience, have the same exact experience when coming to the USA Premier events. The idea that in 2024, Prospect Wire “Powered” those tournaments was not enough. We need our customers to know that when they decide to add a USA Premier event to their schedule, the experience is identical to that of a Prospect Wire event. You’ll see more PW colored branding around the USA Premier events in 2025, as well as an effort to match the pricing PW events offers. We really want to make those events, especially the Firecracker Classic, a power event once again,” stated Werner.
