Prospect Wire’s Campus Series Taking Shape

Before COVID, Prospect Wire began a series of events on college campuses called the PW Ten. The idea was 10 teams, split into 5 team divisions, playing a 4-game guarantee at a college facility. The event was a draw for college coaches and high level organizations jumped at the chance to have their kids playing directly in front of college coaches. The events were held in places like San Francisco (USF), Auburn, Brown and Ohio State to name a few. Unfortunately, the events of COVID lead to the concept being scrapped and losing steam.

Enter 2025, and the PW Ten has been rebranded as the PW Campus Series.

“We are excited to bring a new type of event back to college campuses around the country,” explained DS Sports Chief Development Officer Nolan Neiman. “The idea now is to get 2 college facilities on board and they will both host games over 2-3 days. We will keep things very intimate, with 8-12 teams tops per event. We will contact colleges in the surrounding areas and bring in multiple coaches to watch these teams compete. All teams will get the chance to play in front of college coaches in areas of the country they are looking to be recruited. It’s a win, win for all sides.”

The first of these events will take place at DeSales University in Pennsylvania. There is a second event planned for August in Tiffin, Ohio. Registration for both is now open at play.prospectwire.com

“We can’t wait to get back to this concept,” exclaimed Prospect Wire President Brian Werner. “We had a lot of fun hosting these events back in 2019. The kids get fired up to play on these great facilities, which gets the parents positively involved and supporting, which makes for a better overall event experience.”

When asked where we might see more of these events popping up, Werner stated, “we have open discussions taking place all around the country. Some are just initial conversations;some are ramping up and some are pending site visits. We have discussions going on in Northern California, the PNW, Rocky Mountain region, Southeast and Atlantic Coast regions. We hope to announce a few more after this summer, but our sites are mainly set on 2026 and beyond with these. We want to make sure we set them up right, on good dates, and have good momentum when we announce each one.”
