Spend an Evening at US 23 Digital Drive-In Theater

Flint & Genesee’s US 23 Drive-In has set its 2025 opening day for Friday, April 25. It is the region’s only drive-in movie theater and one of few remaining in the state. Going to the drive-in has become an ingrained part of Americana that signifies the return of warm weather and the beginning of summer.

For many area families, a trip to US-23 Drive-In is a tradition that dates back generations. With three screens showing double features, you are sure to get your money’s worth with a full evening of entertainment. As a nod to modern expectations, you can either hear the audio for the movie from the provided speakers or through a short-range FM station.

As for amenities, their concession stand offers the usual – popcorn, nachos, and pretzels as well as hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and drinks.

The US-23 Drive-In’s season is usually from late spring until the end of summer, taking families through the best weather months so they can get out to enjoy some movies.

Tickets first come, first serve. No advanced tickets are sold.

Gates open at 7:30pm. Movies start at around 9:05pm.

Setting up lawn chairs outside of your vehicle is allowed. Sitting in your tailgate or in your pickup bed is allowed. Your hatch must be level with the roof of your vehicle. Bring a rope to keep it tied down.

They are allowing portable radio rentals. If you don’t want to turn on your car every thirty minutes to prevent your car battery dying, rent a portable FM radio.
