While nature has provided the area with incredible natural venues, the region possesses numerous man-made outdoor venues, including baseball and softball fields, as well as large outdoor fields, turf and grass for sports such as soccer, lacrosse, Quidditch and ultimate frisbee. Looking for some competitive golf? The region boasts golf courses, including a championship par 70 Donald Ross-designed course and a course carved onto the side of French Mountain, with spectacular views of the south end of Lake George. What about disc golf? The Professional Disc Golf Association recently joined at Crandall Park for the grand opening of the course in June!

The region is also home to high level indoor sports venues. From ice rinks and arenas, to sports domes, bowling alleys and courts, the Lake George area is the perfect sports destination for volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, bowling, indoor rock climbing and more. As the hosts of the NYS Women’s Bowling Championships, the WPBA Bowling Championship, IREVA Juniors Regional Volleyball Championships and the NYS Public High School Athletic Associations Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling and ice hockey championships, the area is a proven destination for all levels of indoor competition.

There are a few attractions that define the Lake George Area. Those looking for a lively time can explore a decades-old amusement park or the biggest marble cave in the east. The Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail is a self-guided tour of 27 beer, wine, cider, soda, and distilled spirits makers throughout Warren, Essex, Washington and Northern Saratoga Counties.
