1 – Lake Brownwood State Park: The park sits on the shore of the 7,300-surface-acre Lake Brownwood. Reel in a fish, explore the lake by boat, or go for a swim. You can also water ski, Jet Ski and paddle. Hike nearly six miles of trails. Most trails are for hiking only, but the 2.9-mile Nopales Ridge Trail is also open to biking.

This area features the Camp Bowie Aquatic Center, 4 Boys Baseball Fields, 4 Girls Softball Fields, 2 Teenage Baseball Fields, 2 Adult Softball Fields, and 3 Concession Stands, This multi field complex opened in 2015 and is host to Brownwood local soccer association teams, as well as hosts over 40 tournaments a year.
