On hundred and twenty teams converge on the Baton Rouge area to compete in the 2024 USSSA Baseball Rec All Star World Series. Teams from across Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas will compete across seven divisions.
The tournament kicked off with Opening Ceremonies in downtown Baton Rouge on Tuesday, July 9. Held in Rhorer Plaza just outside of the Old State Capitol, the opening ceremonies featured a parade of teams, a comedy act and an appearance by Lathan the Kid Umpire. The family friendly event also featured several vendors promoting their product, a drawing for a Paul Skenes Autographed LSU Jersey courtesy of the Baton Rouge Rougarou summer collegiate baseball team as well a photo opportunity with a live alligator courtesy of Visit Baton Rouge.
