Valley Forge Sports Hosts an Incredible June in Montgomery County, PA

Montgomery County continues to be a premier destination to host sports tournaments and the Valley Forge Sports team of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is proving just that.
The team is thrilled to be hosting 12 events this month, with a total of seven different sports and five events new to the area. June will see more than 15,000+ room nights sold and an estimated $18 million in economic impact.
The YMCA National Gymnastics Championship & Invitational, happening Jun. 20-24, will be the largest indoor event ever held in Montgomery County, with over 2,500 gymnasts traveling to the area from all over the U.S. This new-to-the-area event is estimated to bring in more than 8,000 room nights.
“The 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships & Invitational is not just an event; it’s a culmination of hard work, dedication, and the spirit of community,” said Mubarak “Mo” Simmons, Gymnastics Director at Willow Grove YMCA. “This championship will spotlight the incredible talents of young gymnasts from across the nation. Hosting this significant event in Montgomery County and working alongside Valley Forge Sports has been a remarkable experience. Their support has been instrumental in bringing this event to life, and we are thrilled to showcase the athletic excellence and supportive community that defines the YMCA in such a dynamic setting.”

Fall Continental Cup
The Fall Continental Cup is a series of two one-day elite team tournaments that attract the Continent’s best club teams and college coaches. The name, Continental Cup, reflects not only the inclusion of the United States’ top clubs but also Canada’s best. On the first weekend of the NCAA fall live recruiting period, clubs compete here on one stage for the convenience of college coaches. All 2027 games will be played at ONE VENUE, the Proving Grounds, which is a new state-of-the-art all-turf facility conveniently located just outside Philadelphia. Not only will the top Division I, II, and III schools be lining the sidelines, but games will be filmed and uploaded onto the IWLCARecruits platform, where it is free for college coaches and IWRecruits members in the 2026-2028 divisions to access maximizing your team’s exposure to college coaches around the nation.

Winterblast is the largest tournament in the United States, competitors from all over the country and abroad come to compete. Is a fun family friendly event. Friday night we have super matches hosted by ArmGods and Saturday is the tournament that is open to anyone. Men, Women, Children all welcome, weight classes and also Novice, Amateur, Semi-Pro and Pro levels.

Winterblast is the Largest Armwrestling tournament in the country. We’ll have Pro, Semi-Pro, Amateur, Novice, Masters, Grand Masters and Senior Grand Masters, Kids, Women and Men. Tournament is double elimination, with first second and third place medals in every class for left and right hand.
