Valley Forge Sports Hosts an Incredible June in Montgomery County, PA

Valley Forge Sports is thrilled to be hosting 12 events this month, with a total of seven different sports and five events new to the area. June will see more than 15,000+ room nights sold and an estimated $18 million in economic impact.”

Montgomery County continues to be a premier destination to host sports tournaments and the Valley Forge Sports team of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is proving just that.

The team is thrilled to be hosting 12 events this month, with a total of seven different sports and five events new to the area. June will see more than 15,000+ room nights sold and an estimated $18 million in economic impact.

The YMCA National Gymnastics Championship & Invitational, happening Jun. 20-24, will be the largest indoor event ever held in Montgomery County, with over 2,500 gymnasts traveling to the area from all over the U.S. This new-to-the-area event is estimated to bring in more than 8,000 room nights.

“The 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships & Invitational is not just an event; it’s a culmination of hard work, dedication, and the spirit of community,” said Mubarak “Mo” Simmons, Gymnastics Director at Willow Grove YMCA. “This championship will spotlight the incredible talents of young gymnasts from across the nation. Hosting this significant event in Montgomery County and working alongside Valley Forge Sports has been a remarkable experience.   • Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run & 2-Mile Walk

    YEAR 19! For more than 18 years, the Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-Mile Run ®️ has been a unique challenge for runners of all age groups and skill levels. Runners trek a five-mile course that traverses the scenic Valley Forge National Historical Park. The 19th Annual Rev Run in-person race leads up to National Park Week while the Virtual Race coincides with NPW and all proceeds from the race go directly back into Valley Forge National Historical Park to enhance the visitor experience and support our local national treasure. Since its inception in 2006, Rev Run has raised nearly $700,000 for Park infrastructure improvement projects and programming to enhance the visitor experience. This year, the VFTCB raised a record donation of $80,000. It is an honor and a privilege to serve this community and park.
