North Myrtle Beach also offers excellent fishing for anglers of all ages. You can charter a deep-sea or offshore fishing trip, try surf fishing, or join the longstanding tradition of fishing from the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier.

If you’re unfamiliar, don’t worry because the folks at Fat Harold’s Beach Club on Main Street offer shag lessons and nightly shag dancing. And that’s just one option for nightlife and live entertainment in North Myrtle Beach, you’ll also find bars, music, live theater, and much more to do once the sun goes down.

Encourage the kids to play to their hearts’ content at one of the local parks like the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex complete with three playgrounds, a dog park, walking and biking trails, sports fields, and Shark Wake Park for cable wakeboarding and floating obstacle courses.

Golfers will love the award-winning golf courses that twist and wind around salt marshes, with many nestled between the salt air of the Atlantic Ocean and the brackish waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. Famed golfers and designers Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, and Greg Norman have each designed one of the four Barefoot Resort & Golf courses, where you can stay and play for the ultimate golf-filled vacation of your dreams. Beyond that, you’ll find six other courses that provide opportunities to hit the links.
