Visit Tri Cities

Thank you to the amazing volunteers at the IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities race! The Tri-Cities community banded together and had over 1,300 volunteers sign-up for the inaugural race. IRONMAN and Visit Tri-Cities are so grateful to each and every person that filled a variety of stations and roles throughout the course of the event. Whether it was out in the water with the athletes, supporting them in transitions, or out on the streets helping direct traffic – the race couldn’t have happened without them! Volunteers are truly the lifeblood of something of this magnitude, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the volunteers’ hard work and support to see this race through to the end. The generosity and dedication was amazing – a true testimate to the spirit of athletic achievement in the Tri-Cities community!

Cheers to an incredible experience at the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities race! With 2,388 total participants and over 7,500 out-of-town visitors, Tri-Cities was filled with the excitement of athletes and their family and friends throughout the entire race weekend. It was truly an inspiration to watch these athletes push the boundaries of their limits, and to see what they were capable of achieving. This event generated an estimated $7-7.5 million in economic impact for the Tri-Cities community, and had representation from 45 states and 20 countries. What an honor to host this memorable event, we can’t wait for IRONMAN 70.3 to return in September 2025!

The Eastern Washington region of Tri-Cities will play host to the latest addition to the IRONMAN portfolio: IRONMAN 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities. Far from the evergreens and rain of Western Washington, Tri-Cities boasts an arid climate bathed in sunshine more than 300 days a year!

The World Horseshoe Pitching Championships will be held in Tri-Cities, Washington, in both 2024 and 2027, the National Horseshoe Pitching Association announced. The World Championships will take place at the Three Rivers Campus from July 29 to August 10, 2024, and again in 2027. The Toyota Center & Arena will serve as the primary venue
