About Westopolis – St. Louis Park & Golden Valley

Welcome to Westopolis – the closest neighbor to downtown Minneapolis! We’re a vibrant area comprised of the cities of St. Louis Park and Golden Valley. We thrive on our convenient location and midwestern charm. Offering walkable neighborhoods, delicious dining, outdoor adventures and ample free parking, we’re THE sweet spot for experiencing the entire metro region!

Outstanding in Our Fields!

Whether you are planning, attending, or participating in the next sporting event, Westopolis is here to help you book indoor and outdoor facilities and make hotel arrangements.

Fabulous Facilities!

If you play hockey, you’ll love the fact that St. Louis Park’s Rec Center is home to two state-of-the-art indoor hockey facilities and can host up to 2,800 spectators! Next door, the ROC (Recreation Outdoor Center) is a covered outdoor facility that in winter is home to a skating rink with ample bleacher seating. Our ice so cool that the Minnesota Wild come and practice on it each year! In spring and summer, the ROC is converted to a turf field and a dry concrete floor – perfect for practices and events.

Boasting as much as much as 15% of the city’s land, Golden Valley has over 1,000 acres of parks and open spaces with nearly 50 miles of trails. Key facilities such as Brookview Community Center, which features golf, lawn bowling, a driving range, biking and more, along with Theodore Wirth Regional Park and its host of winter and summer offerings, make Golden Valley a premier destination for both summer and winter sports activities.

With many diverse playing fields for baseball, soccer and lacrosse, including Rotary Northside Park and Skippy Field, St. Louis Park and Golden Valley are the ideal destination for your big game. Players, coaches, and spectators will enjoy convenient and safe lodging options with easy access to dining, shopping, and entertainment during their stay.

Things to do in the area

The park also features hiking trails, mountain and fat tire bike trails, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowshoeing and snowboarding, a swimming beach, fishing pier, sand volleyball, two golf courses and a disc golf course.
