This week, Omaha is welcoming the Nebraska State High School Wrestling Championships, bringing more than 1,640 of the state’s top wrestlers to the mat at Omaha’s convention center, CHI Health Center Omaha.

Omaha continues to shine as a premier destination for sports events, with professional volleyball leading the charge.

Omaha will host the inaugural Top Gun Cornhusker Classic, presented by Top Gun Events, October 25-27. This premier softball tournament will bring together 120 girls teams from across the region and feature competition across four age divisions. Teams will compete at fields throughout the Omaha metropolitan area, showcasing the city’s sporting facilities and dedication to delivering exceptional tournament experiences.

The torch is lit, and the games are on. But, before the Team USA athletes boarded their flights to Tokyo, they spent years training for the pinnacle of their careers.
