Facility Spotlight: PA Classics Soccer Park
Making its debut in 2006, PA Classics Soccer Park offers a 10 field, 32-acre, outdoor soccer park in the heart of Lancaster County. The fields are all grass and are the home fields for Pennsylvania Classics Soccer Club. Youth soccer is more popular than ever. In addition to hosting school teams, private youth soccer clubs have become more popular. The park was developed with hopes of meeting the demand for youth soccer, providing a venue for practices, clinics, and tournaments.

Facility Spotlight: Clipper Magazine Stadium
Clipper Magazine Stadium first opened its doors on May 11, 2005. The Stormers hosted the Atlantic City Surf, providing an outlet for Lancastrians to enjoy America’s favorite pastime. The Stormers inherit a strong baseball tradition in the Red Rose City, dating back to the late 1800s. Teams include the Maroons, the All-African American Giants (1897) and, of course, a few incarnations of the Red Roses, who lasted through 1961.

Facility Spotlight: Spooky Nook Sports Complex
Spooky Nook Sports is the largest indoor sports complex in the United States. The 700,000-square-foot indoor facility provides regulation courts and playing fields for more than a dozen sports under one roof. The Nook also offers an outdoor turf field, as well as a climate-controlled dome used for field hockey, soccer, football, and more. The Nook is a premier destination for clubs, tournaments, and competitions. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Warehouse Hotel, conveniently located within Spooky Nook Sports.

2024 U.S. High School Bowling National Championship Hosted In Lancaster, PA
In the first week of June, Lancaster was lucky enough to host 575 bowlers from 25 different states across the country for the United States High School Bowling National Championship. With some of the students traveling to Lancaster from states as far as Alaska and Hawaii, there were no lengths these dedicated bowlers wouldn’t go to, to compete.

Lancaster County is proud to be hosting the 79th U.S. Women’s Open at the Lancaster Country Club, held May 27-June2. This will be the second USGA championship that has been hosted in Lancaster. In Gee Chun of the Republic of Korea edged fellow Korean Any Yang by one stroke to win the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open, her first of two career major championships. The championship set records for U.S. Women’s Open entries and attendance.
