About Visit Anderson
Visit Anderson is a Convention & Visitors Bureau. CVB's were created across the country to help destinations attract more of those lucrative tourism dollars to a community. We work in many different ways to accomplish these goals.
Funded by the Accommodation Tax collected when someone stays in a hotel or lodging property in the county, the CVB uses these funds to create brochures, apps, websites and press releases to tell the story of Anderson County and get us noticed with tourist.
CVB's also play a vital role in recruiting sporting events, meetings, and social gatherings such as weddings and family reunions to our area. These events put heads in beds, visitors spend money on shopping, food, and gas... then they go home... leaving their tax dollars for vital work in our county. Tourism is an economic driver and often the front line of companies deciding to relocate to an area.

Anderson County is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are between Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC on Interstate 85. Anderson offers sports venues, meeting space and facilities of a larger city with the Southern Charm and Hospitality of a small town!
We have something for every size sports group and many venue choices to choose from; small towns where tennis courts are in the back yards of historic homes to modern venues such as the Anderson Civic Center or Anderson Sports and Entertainment Complex.
