This past weekend, Auburn-Opelika Tourism hosted Rumble on the Rails, a soccer tournament that brought 130 teams and 1,700 players, coaches, and spectators to the area. The event utilized six venues: Wire Road Soccer Complex, Opelika Sportsplex, Floral Park, West Ridge Baseball Complex, and Moore Stadium.

We’re incredibly proud to have supported the USA Wheelchair Handball Team as they made history in their journey to the inaugural Wheelchair Handball World Championship in Cairo, Egypt!

What a weekend at the 2024 NSANE Tournament! 🎣 We welcomed 300 anglers—150 high school and 150 college—from 25 states to Auburn, AL, for a thrilling weekend of competition and networking. With 132 schools represented, the event truly embodied the spirit of National Student Angler Networking Events.

The 2024 USA Team Handball Wheelchair National Team has been training diligently in Auburn, Alabama, preparing for their debut at the International Handball Federation Wheelchair Handball World Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

Dubbed ‘The Everything Cities,’ Auburn and Opelika offer a cultural mix of past and present while hosting every sport imaginable—from pickleball to mountain biking and handball, including accessible sports. Thanks to incredible collaboration between town officials, the university, and Auburn-Opelika Tourism, this area has become the ultimate sports destination for every sport, from kickoff to post-game.
