Galveston also offers a plethora of unique museums, including The Bryan Museum, Texas Seaport Museum, Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig & Museum and Galveston Railroad Museum. Having one of the largest and well-preserved concentrations of Victorian architecture in the country, Galveston allows visitors to explore the island’s interesting history by touring one of its popular historic mansions.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is located approximately 23 miles north of downtown Houston and 70 miles from Galveston; Houston’s second largest airport, Hobby Airport (HOU), is located approximately seven miles south of downtown Houston and 40 miles from Galveston. There are a number of options for transportation to and from both airports, including a variety of cars, limousines, and shuttles, along with ride sharing services such as Uber & Lyft.
