About Collie Club of America National Specialty Show

Collies in all their glory are showcased at the Collie Club of America National Specialty competing in Conformation, Herding, Obedience, Rally, and Agility. The rough and smooth varieties in conformation, go head-to-head to determine the Best of the Best.

The Collie Club of America (CCA) versatility awards program is designed to recognize Collies which have distinguished themselves in both the breed ring and in AKC recognized performance events. These dogs possess the conformation, temperament, intelligence, and herding and working capabilities which represent the essential characteristics of the breed and is awarded based on a point system which is used to weight each title based on its difficulty.

Entries come from all over the United States as well as several foreign countries. The show is held in conjunction with the CCA Annual Meeting and includes educational programs, special events and festive activities, which take place throughout the week.

Preservation breeders take advantage of health education and testing clinics offered by the Collie Health Foundation.

CCA encourages everyone to attend at least one National Specialty where you will gain a wealth of information from it’s club members, exhibitors, meet breeders, and most importantly see a great deal of beautiful Collies… what more could you ask for!
