About CSU Logging - Association of Western Forestry Clubs (AWFC) Conclave

Starting Wed, Apr 2nd - Fri, Apr 4th, 2025

3400 W Vine Dr, Fort Collins, CO 80521, USA

Nestled where the Rocky Mountains rise to meet a vibrant and creative city, Fort Collins is a place where natural beauty, innovation, and tradition intertwine. As you join us for the 2025 American Western Forestry Clubs Conclave, we invite you to experience the very spirit of Fort Collins — a community that celebrates both its outdoor heritage and its dynamic culture.

From April 2-4, 2025, Colorado State University’s Foothills Campus will host this thrilling collegiate logging competition, where skilled students from across the nation will test their strength, precision, and teamwork in events like axe throwing, pole climbing, log rolling, and more. This celebration of forestry, grit, and camaraderie perfectly reflects the adventurous heart of Fort Collins itself.

But the excitement doesn’t stop at the competition. Fort Collins invites you to explore all that makes our city special. Stroll through the Historic Old Town, whose lively streets and charming architecture helped inspire Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. Wander along the Cache la Poudre River, Colorado’s only designated Wild & Scenic River, where scenic trails and peaceful waters offer the perfect backdrop for a post-event adventure.

In between events, discover why Fort Collins is known as the craft beer capital of Colorado, with an innovative brewery scene that pairs perfectly with our farm-to-table dining culture. From locally roasted coffee to live music and eclectic galleries, Fort Collins blends creativity and community in every corner.

On this page, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your time here, including:
✅ Discounts from local businesses welcoming Conclave participants
✅ Special promotions tailored to your event

We’re thrilled to welcome you to Fort Collins, where adventure, tradition, and innovation come together — on campus, in the mountains, and everywhere in between. Best of luck to you and your team, and enjoy everything our community has to offer!
