TRITON is a new global triathlon series with two race formats, TRITON 1 and TRITON 3, looking to add the USA market, the largest in the triathlon world, to the global series, by partnering with LRH (local Rights Holders) and destinations.

TRITON has a licence business model, with a market protection non-competing clause that prevents TRITON events from taking place in the same month in different destinations on the same continent. This clause protects destinations and LRH (local rights holders) from directly competing against each other for market share. Less is more policy.

What is different about TRITON?

Aside from the non-competing business clause TRITON brings innovation in the competition format.

TRITON 1 a regular one day triathlon format and TRITON 3 separating the swim, the bike and the run in 3 consecutive days, each day dedicated to one discipline.

Official TRITON races, in both formats, qualify for the world finals and both TRITON 1 and TRITON 3 offer 3 competitions taking place simultaneously on the same course, a SHORT, a MIDDLE and a LONG distance competition.

TRITON also offers a corporate series with the only corporate world finals cup, taking place at TRITON World Finals event.

TRITON is the only series in the world to offer 3 world finals, a SHORT, MIDDLE and LONG, at the same venue and taking place at the same time, together with the corporate World Cup and a kids promotional event, guaranteeing legacy and continuity.

The document attached highlights what TRITON brings to the table in more detail. Please read before reaching out. Check out our website to learn more- https://tritonworldseries.com/

We are excited for the possibility of adding USA to the global market.

Highlights:

1. Non-competing clause:
Two distinct race formats, TRITON 1, the one-day regular triathlon format and TRITON 3, a stage like format competition, separating each discipline across 3 consecutive days, that has a non competing clause that aims to protect destinations and race organizers from competing directly against each other for market share, on the same calendar month. A limited number of races, in each format, is allowed for each continent. Less is more policy.

2. Inclusive Race Format for All Athletes:
Unlike traditional events that often cater to a single distance (e.g., Ironman races, which typically focus on one long or middle distance event), TRITON offers three race distances at all races, at both race formats, TRITON 1 and TRITON 3, SHORT, MIDDLE, LONG, and a global corporate series, all leading to the finals.

This inclusivity allows event organizers to attract a broader audience, from beginners to seasoned triathletes, enhancing the event's appeal and participant turnout. It aligns with the vision that "Everyone's an athlete," expanding potential participation and engagement and offering the first world finals to all distances plus the corporate cup final.

3. Lap-Based Course Design:
Minimizing Traffic Disruption. All TRITON races are designed with a lap-based course, which significantly reduces the impact on local traffic. By confining the race to shorter, repeated loops, road closures are minimized, and traffic can be managed more effectively.

This not only reduces the inconvenience for local residents and businesses but also makes it easier for organizers to receive necessary permits from local authorities, improves safety and rescue and visibility.
The ability to host all three distances within the same course adds additional value to race organizers, host destinations, audience and all stakeholders involved while also contributing to simplifying logistics and lowering overall costs and staff management.

4. TRITON 3: The Ultimate Flexible Race Experience:
Stage-Based Triathlon Racing Over Three Days: TRITON 3 offers a revolutionary format where each discipline (swim, bike, run) is held on 3, consecutive, separate days.

This format allows organizers to use one, two or all three different venues for each race, offering more flexibility in selecting the best routes with the least impact on traffic, in particular on the bike segment, if this is the case of the venue / destination. For example, the cycling segment can be conducted on roads that are easier to manage, minimizing road closures and optimizing safety and rescue.

- Highlighting Regional Beauty Without Disruption:
This format also allows host destinations to showcase their unique landscapes and attractions without causing significant disruption to the local community. Organizers can design courses that highlight the
scenic areas for each segment of the race and stage, thus promoting tourism and enhancing the economic benefits for host cities and regions.

4. Innovative Scoring System and Safety Benefits:
Athlete Focus and Safety: TRITON 3 unique multiple day of racing format allows athletes to focus on one discipline per day, enhancing performance and safety. This staged like competition approach provides better opportunities for first response teams to manage safety much more effectively, reducing the risks associated with potential accidents in a crowded, continuous race environment. This is particularly appealing to organizers concerned with the health and safety aspects of triathlon events.

By separating the disciplines over 3 consecutive days, not only is the whole event much safer with the entire staff and safety crews being focused on one discipline, but we are also able to better isolate the cycling element which tends to bring the biggest safety issues and disruption of locals businesses an everyday life commute. The cycling leg can even be taken to a less central venue that will not affect the normal life of the host region, if necessary.

About the points system. TRITON’s unique point system for the TRITON 3 race format awards 1 point for first place, 2 for second, 3 for third, and so on, and at the end of the last day the athlete with the fewest points wins. Not only the scoring system evens the weight of each discipline, but it brings new element of strategy into the race. Since time is no longer a factor, "out sprinting" your competition to get that extra point, stands to be what counts the most, rather than going all out wasting the energy you may need the next day. Athletes that have experienced it, simply loved it!

We are looking to partner with US Destinations into the future
