About Indiana State University

Hulman Center, a 10,200-seat multipurpose arena in downtown Terre Haute, has been home of many exciting NCAA and IHSAA athletic contests in its nearly 40-year history. In addition it has been the venue for numerous concerts, trade shows and conventions. It is the home court of the Indiana State University men’s and women’s basketball teams. Indiana State recognizes its obligation to the community at large, and within established policies and procedures makes the facility available to the public for the general benefit and enjoyment of all. (The Hulman Center has a press box, spectator seating, parking, restrooms and concessions.)

Bob Warren Field is home base for the Sycamores, one of the Midwest’s finest Division I collegiate baseball programs. This past summer, the field was the site of the American Legion Baseball Midwest Regionals, and this year it hosted the Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament. It’s also home to the Terre Haute Rex collegiate summer baseball team, a member of the Prospect League. (Bob Warn Field has a lighted field, turf, scoreboard, spectator seating, press box, parking, restrooms, and concessions).

Included at the facility is a state-of-the-art 400-meter track, as well as accommodations for multi-directional options for all NCAA field events. A Daktronics video board also adorns the northwest corner of the facility with the option for multiple video boards elsewhere throughout the facility for larger meets. Located on the banks of the Wabash River at the intersection of First and Chestnut Streets is the Gibson Track & Field Complex, a superb, newly-built 2015 $4.3 million track facility to shore of the western edge of Indiana State's campus. The Gibson Track & Field Complex is named for longtime Indiana State supporters Max and Jackie Gibson and their family, whose gift enabled initial construction of the facility. The Gibson’s were also instrumental in the development of the nationally renowned LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which has hosted the NCAA Championships a total of 12 times since 2002.
