About McCoy Natatorium

Penn State’s McCoy Natatorium, often affectionately referred to as 'The Nat,' is the indoor-outdoor swim facility situated on Penn State’s campus. It proudly serves as the home for Penn State’s men's and women's swim and dive teams.

Throughout its storied history, McCoy Natatorium has hosted various prestigious events, including USA Swimming & Diving competitions, PIAA championships, Pennsylvania Special Olympics, and YMCA State swimming Championships.

The facility features a 42-square-inch dive well and a 25-meter instructional pool, alongside a 6-lane, 25-yard racing pool with depths ranging from 6 to 10 feet. McCoy Natatorium is also equipped with two 1-meter springboards and two 3-meter springboards. The instructional pool serves a dual purpose for practice, pre-competition warm-ups, and therapy.

Visitors to the facility will find convenience in the availability of four locker rooms, a well-equipped weight room, and media areas. The seating capacity accommodates up to 1,000 spectators, with bathrooms and concessions conveniently located within the facility.
