James W. Cownie Baseball Park

About James W. Cownie Baseball Park

This park is one of the top baseball facilities in the region. We host many local and national United States Specialty Sports Association tournaments at this park. This park hosts South Des Moines Little League (over 500 youth playing nearly 300 games).

The features of this park include:
- 8 Irrigated youth fields (2 have lights)
- 8 Batting cages
- All fields have scoreboards and covered bleacher seating
- Playground equipment
- Concession stand
- New maintenance building
- New parking lots for up to 250 vehicles
