About Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium

The stadium is named for Canton native and New York Yankee, Thurman Munson. Munson Stadium was built in 1989 to match the quality and surface conditions of Progressive Field in order to host the Cleveland Indians AA minor league team. It continues to be one of the finest fields in the country and is now home to the Malone University Pioneer Baseball Team and the Ohio Men’s Senior Baseball League. A second field opened for play at the Munson complex in 2014, and a third field is slated for completion in 2015. Surface: One stadium lighted grass playing field. One auxiliary grass playing field.
