Campbell Park is home to Campbell Park Recreation Center, E.H. McLin Pool, an outdoor exercise zone, a playground, athletic fields courts and a picnic shelter that is available for rent and the St. Petersburg Regional Skatepark.
Campbell Park Recreation Center is named after Thomas Clinch Campbell. Land was donated to the City of St. Petersburg in the roaring '20s to use as a park for African American people, who at that time were segregated to the south side of town. Mr. Campbell was a well-to-do businessman from Knoxville, Pennsylvania, where he owned a feed mill, building supply firm and was a station agent for the New York Central Railroad.
