South Westnedge Park has long been known as the premier softball complex for the region. April through September, the ball fields are busy nightly with the city adult softball program. South Westnedge Park is also the site of the very popular Portage Skate park. The concrete skate park is “street plaza” style and has become a destination site for active youth and young adults. A large in-line hockey rink is also located next to the skate park.
