Discover your special hideaway in the heart of the Anza Borrego State park. Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Rosa and San Ysidro mountain range, along a trail forged long ago by Spanish Colonist Juan Bautista de Anza you will find the original 1950’s desert hideaway, de Anza Desert Country Club!
Over the years this area has been a true hideaway to the Hollywood likes of Marilyn Monroe, Bing Crosby, John Wayne, Lon Chaney Jr., James Dean, the Rat Pack and Burgess Meridith who built his home at de Anza golf estates. Today de Anza attracts members and guests from around the world.
Our course’s majestic tree lined fairways and pristine greens along with glimpses of the indigenous wildlife along the way will provide you a true sense of discovery. Our friendly par-72 championship desert course, measuring 6,778 yards was designed by renowned golf course architect Lawrence Hughes and was a favorite course to golf legends such as Sam Snead and Billy Casper. Current PGA tour players John Chin and Kramer Hickok both were proud champions of the Golden State Tour held annually at de Anza.
You can walk or ride on our beautifully maintained course while enjoying breathtaking views of the San Ysidro and Santa Rosa Mountains and the mid-century modern homes lining our course. Our Club’s expansive practice facility features a driving range, short game practice area, chipping area and a large putting green, providing you many opportunities to fine-tune all aspects of your game.
