Iverson Park is one of Stevens Point's oldest and largest parks. In addition to the Green Circle Trail, which travels through the park, it offers a multitude of uses throughout the year. The park has a large playground, restrooms, picnic areas, beach, lodges, picnic shelters and a baseball diamond. The nature trails in the park are great for walking, running, and lend itself well to viewing more than 200 species on its bird list. Iverson Park is a great place to explore for an urban wildlife experience.
Iverson Park provides a lighted baseball/softball diamond with bleachers, concessions, bathrooms, and 3 shelters that are all handicap accessible, sand volleyball courts, playing fields, picnic area and playground equipment. The park is also located on the Plover River and has a swimming beach with bathhouse. The Green Circle Trail also travels through the park. December-February the park converts into a Winter Sports Area consisting of (2) toboggan slides, (5) sledding and saucer hills, a 2.5 mile cross country ski trail, large warming area, concession stands, and a lighted outdoor ice rink.
