About National Association of Historic Base Ball Clubs

We are a national association of historic base ball clubs that plays base ball (2 words) the same way it was played in the 19th century primarily using the rules and customs of 1864 using the same style uniforms and equipment of the day. We bring history alive and show fans what a sporting event was like in their home town before million dollar contracts, televisions,...and gloves. Currently our league has clubs from Maine to Kentucky.

Mission statement

Our mission is to honor America's national pastime by transporting players and spectators back in time to relive the glory and challenges of base ball as it was played in the 1800s through a commitment to historical accuracy, authentic match play, and period-appropriate uniforms and equipment. We aim to foster camaraderie, preserve the traditions of baseball, and celebrate the sporting excellence of 1800s American baseball. By recreating the era's customs and values, we seek to educate, entertain, and ensure that the heritage of this beloved sport endures for generations to come.
