The National Select 7on7 Championships believe in the team concept and that football is a team sport. 7on7 tournaments should be conducted for high school football programs comprised of team members from the same school, coached by the high school coach. They are not All--Star events or leagues.
The National Select 7on7 Championship Series currently owns and operates thirteen annual Qualifying Tournament events in ten different states as well as an annual Championship Event hosted in Hoover, Alabama where a 'National Select 7on7 Champion' is crowned. During 2014, these 'Championship Series' events hosted approximately 280 teams, 7,000 athletes and 1,400 coaches from twenty-five different states. The National Select 7on7 Championship Series has a strong desire to develop a true 'National Championship' 7on7 event by involving high schools from as many states that will allow participation according to their high school athletic association rules. This is achieved by developing and/or acquiring Qualifying Tournaments in states where we currently do not have a presence which allow their high schools to compete against other schools from other states, while wearing helmets and being coached by the high school coach.
