NCR (National Collegiate Rugby) is the largest governing body for collegiate rugby in American with 600 member teams in both Men & Women competitions featuring multiple division competitions from D1 and D2 to Small College. Our Fifteens Championships (the larger form of rugby) takes place in the Fall while our Sevens Championships (the smaller form of rugby) takes place in the Spring.
Formed in 2020, NCR is committed to the development of college rugby by providing a wide array of services and governance for men’s and women’s collegiate rugby programs. NCR evolved from the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) which was founded in 2007 with 75 members. Originally created to support the growth and development of small college rugby, the organization now serves college rugby programs of all sizes.
Events include: Regional championships - Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-Atlantic/South, Central, PacWest (late November/early December), National Fifteens & 7s Championships - (December and April), and Mens and Womens All-Stars (January).
To foster the on and off-field growth and development of collegiate rugby teams, student athletes and coaches. NCR strives to produce championship events for our 600 college members. Championship events include: B.O.A.R (Best of the Rest) regional events, Regional Championships, National Championships, 7s qualifying events and National All-Star Championships for men and women.
